The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have sent wide receiver Mike Evans to the locker room in the second quarter of Week 6 with what appears to be some kind of injury. Evans has left the field a couple times, but went to the locker room midway through the second quarter. He was leading the team with two receptions for 34 yards when he departed the game.

The Bucs wide receiver is dealing with something. We’ll update as we learn more.


The Bucs were leading the Saints at the time and currently lead 17-10 while we await word on Evans. The FOX broadcast updated injury news for both teams with a little under 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter, but could not offer details on Evans. They simply noted he had left the field and was headed to the locker room.
Evans was able to return to the game in the second quarter. No injury updates ever emerged for Evans, but whatever mystery caused him to leave the field either wasn’t an injury or isn’t serious. We’ll update this story as more details become available.
