Flavor Flav being an ambassador for U.S. women’s water polo wasn’t on our bingo card

YEAAAAH BOYY!

Team USA women’s water polo got a new hype man, and it comes with the most unlikely Olympic team up imaginable. Flavor Flav got in the water with the team this week to experience what playing water polo was like, and dropped plenty of YEAAAH BOYYY’s for good measure.

It’s part of a five-year partnership between water polo and Flav, which will see the legendary hype man make financial contributions to the U.S. women’s team. To his credit it seemed like he was actually pretty dang good in the water despite acknowledging how tough it is to play the sport. That’s seriously impressive considering the man is 65-years-old at this point.

Flav had been out of the limelight for some time, but his return has been marked by being a champion of women’s sports. This partnership with water polo is a part of that, and it’s expected he’ll be at the games in Paris to cheer on Team USA in person.

The stars and stripes will have a better hype man than anyone else at the games.
