The chill Turkish shooter gave us the best meme of the Olympics

Yusuf Dicek looks like your neighborhood florist and he’s out here winning medals

The Olympics brings athletes from all walks of life into one city to show off their talents for the world. Every four years we get another set of athletes who jump into our stream of consciousness.

Our latest hero comes from the world of the Olympic pistol shooting, and he looks nothing like anyone else who was in the competition.

Turkish shooter Yusuf Dicek showed up to the function looking like Turkey literally just called him today to compete because they knew he was in Paris eating croissants in a nice bakery. He looks like your local florist who somehow knows high-level martial arts and stopped a robbery three weeks ago. If the anime Sakomoto Days wanted a live action main character, I know their guy.

The world saw Dikec and he immediately became a meme.

What’s even better is Dikec helped Turkey get a silver medal in the mixed 10 meter air pistol competition. The dude is an elite shooter, who doesn’t need all of the equipment that any of his other competitors have. I hate using this word when it comes to sports, but the aura he has is incredible. Dude showed up in flip flops and had no equipment, just vibes only.

When asked why he just shows up with no equipment, he gave the greatest quote of all time:

This just goes to prove that the vibes are greater than anything else. Dikec showed up and casually won silver while looking like a hitman on one last job, and somehow shot his way into our hearts.
