This is what it looks like when a newspaper prints before the end of an epic World Series game
Printing actual hard copies of papers is a process that takes some time. But because people want their newspapers delivered before they wake up, you’ve also got to rush. Which meeeeeeeans that when Game 7 of the World Series goes into extra innings after a rain delay, a recap of the whole game’s events might miss the print deadline. And so you get this in Lafayette, Ind.:

The beauty of this -- and honestly, it’s beautiful, because a print deadline is a calculated hard stop that must be respected -- is that it’s all true. Rajai Davis’ homer for Cleveland *did* send the game to extra innings and *did* technically make the Cubs wait a little longer to end their World Series drought. And of course, the online edition has everything covered:
