Oregon vs. Utah Valley final score: Ducks use big run to pull off win, 69-54
The Wolverines hung around for longer than the Ducks expected and a 16-0 run in the second half finally put the game out of reach.

Junior guard Joseph Young continued to lead the Oregon Ducks, scoring 20 points. Johnathan Loyd added 12 for Oregon, which used a 16-0 run in the middle of the second half to take a comfortable lead.
Young is averaging 26.7 points per game this season and has been making the most of his opportunities from the free throw line. He entered the game leading the nation with an average of 14 free throw attempts per game, but only made it to the line three times against the Wolverines.
The Wolverines got 15 points apiece from Mitch Bruneel and Hayes Garrity but couldn't compete with the size of the Ducks. Oregon out-rebounded Utah Valley 42-30 and punished the Wolverines on the offensive glass, where the Ducks gathered 15 offensive rebounds. The Ducks were able to convert those into 12 second-chance points in the win.
