Marcus Smart shines over fab freshmen on Tuesday

Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY SportsIt’s likely that Wiggins, Parker and Randle will jockey for position all season long. The No. 1 pick may very well come down to fit with whichever teams is lucky enough to get the first pick. Regardless, it’s becoming clear there’s more than enough talent to go around in the 2014 draft.
With a stellar line of 21 points, nine rebounds, six blocks, two assists and one steal against ECU, Parker showed that he can change a game in a variety of ways. To compare him to LeBron James based on his ability to fill up the stat sheet isn’t fair, but his coast-to-coast, 1-on-5 dunk off was particularly James-esque:

Mary Langenfeld-USA TODAY SportsKaminsky scored 43 points, going 16-of-19 from the field and draining all six of his three-point attempts, to lead the Badgers. He beat the original record of 42 set by Ken Barnes in 1965 and tied by Michael Finley in 1994.

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY SportsYoung hinted at this kind of game with his performance against Michigan State, and he finished Tuesday night with 26 points to lead the Wildcats. Randle added 22 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth straight double-double to open the season.

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY SportsNo. 11 Memphis vs. No. 7 Oklahoma State, ESPN (8 p.m. ET)
A battle of top-15 schools will be the first challenge for both teams. Josh Pastner’s Tigers have only played one game thus far, and the 95-69 against Austin Peay wasn’t much of a test as Memphis’ wealth of guards led by Joe Jackson displayed a balanced attack. Oklahoma State is 3-0 but in the same position -- none of the opponents have been much of a match for the Cowboys.
