Shockers advance to CBE final

Peter AikenNo. 12 Wichita State led by 18 at the half and cruised to a 90-72 victory Monday night in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic semifinals in Kansas City, Mo.
The Shockers, now 6-0, will face BYU Tuesday night in the championship game. The Cougars advanced with a four-point win over Texas earlier in the night.

Lenzelle Smith Jr. had 20 points on 5-for-8 shooting from three to lead the Buckeyes, but it was the Buckeyes’ play on the other end of the court that pushed them to victory. Ohio State allowed just four field goals in the second half -- none in the final 10 minutes -- and gave up just 16 points after leading by only four at halftime.
