Gonzaga vs. South Alabama final score: Bulldogs hold off Jaguars in 68-59 win
The margin might have been too close for comfort, but Gonzaga held on to win at home.

Top scorer Kevin Pangos struggled for most of the night, tallying just 10 points on 3-of-12 shooting. Instead, it was up to Gary Bell Jr. (20 points) and Sam Dower (12 points, 11 rebounds) to shoulder the load.
South Alabama, meanwhile, got 35 points from Augustine Rubit, but the Jaguars couldn't muster much more. No other player scored more than eight for South Alabama.
Gonzaga opened up a 20-3 lead to start the game and took a 16-point lead into the locker room, but South Alabama used a 10-1 run early in the second half to stay close. Down the stretch, the Bulldogs were unable to put much breathing room between them and their opponent, and actually lost the second-half scoring battle, 34-27.
For the game, both teams struggled from the field. Gonzaga shot 41 percent, while the Jaguars made just 32 percent of their attempts.
