No. 20 Wisconsin vs. Minnesota final score: Golden Gophers upset Badgers, 58-53

Wisconsin went into overtime for the third straight game, but this time the Badgers couldn’t come up with a win as Andre Hollins and Minnesota pulled off the upset.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers knocked off the No. 20 Wisconsin Badgers, 58-53, in overtime on Thursday evening in Minneapolis, Minn. Andre Hollins scored 21 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 3:40 remaining in the extra period.

The Gophers appeared to be facing their seventh loss in Big Ten play after Hollins was whistled for a charging foul with 22 seconds remaining and his team trailing by two points. However, Wisconsin's Mike Bruesewitz tried running the baseline on the ensuing inbound play, which is only allowed after the opposing team scores. The blunder resulted in a violation, turning the ball back over to Minnesota, and Joe Coleman made a pair of free throws after drawing a foul to send the game into overtime.

Hollins' big shot was the only field goal made by the Gophers in overtime, but they hit their four of their five free throw attempts and held Wisconsin to just one field goal, a layup by Jared Berggren that broke an 11-minute field goal drought for the Badgers.
