College basketball scores: No. 6 Florida destroys Tennessee, 67-41

The Gators are playing like a top team, improving to 6-0 in conference play as part of an 11-game win streak.

The Gators embarrassed Tennessee in Gainesville, securing their 11th straight victory, 67-41. Florida got 17 from Michael Frazier II, who went 3-for-6 from three-point range. With the game out of hand early, Patric Young sent the Tennessee players home with something to chew on:

The Volunteers got a double-double from Jarnell Stokes, who scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but the rest of the team mustered up very little. Florida improved to 6-0 in the SEC and 17-2 overall. The Gators hold a one-game lead over Kentucky in the SEC.

No. 9 Wisconsin 72, Purdue 58

Wisconsin was up by just three at the half but poured it on in the second half of this Big Ten matchup. The Badgers shot just 41 percent overall, but their 33 trips to the free-throw line proved to be the difference in the game. Leading scorer Sam Dekker had 15, including 8-for-11 shooting from the line. With the win, Wisconsin snapped a three-game losing streak that had ruined the team's undefeated season. The Badgers play Northwestern on Jan. 29.

No. 20 Pittsburgh 83, Maryland 79

Pitt held off Maryland thanks to 28 points from senior Lamar Patterson. The Panthers out-muscled Maryland in the end, grabbing 11 offensive rebounds and finishing with a plus-12 rebounding advantage overall. Both teams shot well, but Pittsburgh was more efficient; the Panthers shot 51 percent from the field, while the Terrapins hit only four of 17 three-point attempts.

No. 25 Oklahoma 74, Texas Tech 65

Buddy Hield was hot for the Sooners, who held off Texas Tech in Lubbock. The sophomore shooter hit four of his seven attempts from behind the arc for a game-high 18 points, giving him his 19th double-digit scoring day in 20 Oklahoma games. The Sooners are now 5-2 in Big 12 play and are very much in the mix behind Kansas for a regular-season conference title.
