UGA Receiver Recruiting: Reggie Davis Is The Newest Georgia Bulldog Commitment

Reggie Davis, a receiver recruit from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln High School, committed to the Georgia Bulldogs Sunday evening. Davis' stands 5'11" and weighs in at about 170 pounds. Davis claims offers from schools including Alabama, Florida and Florida State, but those offers are unlikely to be committable as Davis is not high on the board for those schools. The offers from N.C. State and South Florida are much more likely to be legitimate.

Davis has good top-end speed, but for his size, he needs to be much better better on the underneath stuff.

Jeremy Attaway of the excellent Georgia site Dawg Sports put together this look at the Georgia receiver recruiting situation. This piece was done before the commitment of Davis, but still shows UGA’s line of thought with respect to the position. I am particularly interested in the idea that one of the current receiver commitments could move to cornerback. As Attaway says, Georgia has 30+ scholarships to give, and anything can happen.
