The recruiting fallout from the coaching changes at Texas have resulted in another decommitment for the Texas Longhorns, as the TCU Horned Frogs have once again received a commitment from Dallas (Texas) Lincoln wide receiver Emanuel Porter, as broken by Jeremy Clark of HornedFrogBlitz.com.

The pendulum swings again for the potentially elite deep threat.
A consensus three-star prospect on the verge of a four-star rating from 247Sports, Porter had committed to TCU in August of 2012 before decommitting on June 10, 2013 and committing to Texas five days later.
The decision not to retain wide receivers coach Darrell Wyatt may have played a role in Porter switching his pledge back to TCU on the day that the recruiting dead period ended and Horned Frogs coaches visited with him. That visit from the TCU staff apparently had a greater impact than a similar visit from the new Texas coaches.

It's not clear if Porter will follow through on his previous intentions to take an official visit to see the LSU Tigers on January 24, though the TCU coaches obviously won't want that visit to happen.
Ranked as the No. 73 wide receiver nationally and the No. 63 prospect in the state of Texas, the 247Sports Composite rankings have Porter as the No. 534 player in the country. His only reported offers are from LSU, TCU, and Texas.
The former basketball player picked up his offer from the Horned Frogs before playing his first season of football in 2012 as a junior. After turning 29 catches into 421 yards and three touchdowns that year, Porter racked up 40 catches for 651 yards and seven touchdowns during his second and final season of high school football.

A good track athlete who was a part of the Lincoln 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams that took home state titles back in May, Porter’s longtime commitment to TCU may have slowed down his recruitment, but considering that he was a soft verbal for most of the time, it’s hard to understand why he doesn’t have more offers based purely on his measurables -- his 6’5 height, an impressive frame, 4.43 40 at a TCU camp at which he also had a 34-inch vertical.
Porter has it all and plays fast on the field, too, and there’s a lot to like about him as a blocker, putting in some effort on the perimeter with good results. Players like to play with teammates like that. There may be several limiting factors right now -- the fact that he doesn’t demonstrate a lot of advanced route-running ability and generally looks rather unpolished in that aspect of his game and an inability to consistently catch the ball cleanly.
He can flash some tackle-breaking ability and has good overall agility for a prospect of his size.
Based on highlights, it’s impossible to speculate much about his hands, but he does bobble some easy plays he ends up securing and doesn’t always look natural attacking the football inside his body.
Porter is the second wide receiver to commit to the Horned Frogs in a class that now stands at 14 with National Signing Day less than three weeks away. Those 14 pledges are good enough for TCU to rank No. 55 nationally and No. 9 in the Big 12 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
