One of the biggest recruiting events of the year is here, and SB Nation’s on the scene. LSU didn’t land as many stars as its fans hoped, but still grabbed the nation’s top prospect and another five-star. Details below on all the commits and more.
Under Armour Game: LSU hits and misses, Tide rolls

Kim Klement-USA TODAY SportsWith five five-stars set to commit and considering LSU seriously, I was excited to potentially cover some drama for the No.1 recruiting class. But LSU gained commitments from only two or the five, with Alabama landing five-star cornerback Tony Brown, a major surprise given that LSU had been the long-time favorite, and that Brown’s sister runs track at LSU. Brown is a major get for Alabama because cornerback is such a huge need for the Crimson Tide.
Alabama now has a ridiculous 18 commitments rated four or five-stars, and 24 commitments overall. And the Tide could add a few more blue chips. The race for the No. 1 recruiting class of 2014 is over, and the Tide has won.

USA TODAY SportsListed at 6’1 and 182 pounds, the five-star prospect out of Friendship Collegiate Academy (D.C.) has NFL size and skills and should play straight away for the Wildcats.
Tabor was long considered to be a lean for local school Maryland, but something apparently went wrong with the Terrapins’ recruitment of him, as they found themselves out of the picture in December. The cornerback’s final two schools ended up being Alabama and Arizona, with the Wildcats winning out.

Student Sports PhotosGerald Willis, one of the top defensive line prospects in the country, has ended his recruitment by committing to the Florida Gators.
Willis, listed at 6’3 and 275 pounds, attends Edna Karr (La.) High School and hails from New Orleans. He is rated as a five-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, and the 21st-best prospect in the class of 2014. He is also considered the second-best defensive tackle in the country and the fifth-best player in the state of Louisiana.

Wescott EbertsJamal Adams is one of the top recruits in the country, and he’s another big star headed to Baton Rouge. The five-star prospect has committed to LSU, giving Les Miles another big addition to his 2014 class. He revealed the news via his niece:
Adams can play multiple positions, including safety, running back and returner, and is listed as a safety by the 247sports composite (which rates him a five star). Listed at 6’0 and 199 pounds, he attends Hebron (Texas) High School and hails from Carrollton, Texas.

@landgrant33Listed at 6’1 and 185 pounds, Rudolph attends Cardinal Newman (Fla.) High School and hails from West Palm Beach, Fla. He is rated as a four-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, which considers him the 69th-best player in the class. Rudolph is ranked as the seventh-best wide receiver in the country, and the 10th-best player in the state of Florida. He took official visits to Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida State, Auburn and Alabama.
Rudolph, who previously committed to Miami, named a final five in August that was slightly different from his list of five official visits. At that point, he was choosing between Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Florida and Vanderbilt.

USA TODAY SportsThe future of college football will be on display this week at the Under Armour All-America Game in Florida Thursday night. While a good majority of the players set to take the field are already committed, there are a handful of recruits set to announce their college decisions on Thursday. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. ESPN will televise all of the action from Florida.
