Isaac Remington suspended: Oregon sits starting DT indefinitely

Chip Kelly has announced starting defensive tackle Isaac Remington will be out for an unspecified amount of time.

The Oregon Ducks will be without the services of starting senior defensive tackle Isaac Remington for some time, as he's been suspended by coach Chip Kelly "pending clarification of an incident that occurred Friday morning in Eugene."

No. 2 Oregon is off this week, but will play next Thursday in a road game against high-scoring Arizona State.

Remington has 12 tackles on the year, ranking him fourth among Oregon’s defensive linemen. The 6’4, 300-pounder also has a sack, four tackles for loss and a pair of quarterback hurries, more than matching his pressure work from his entire 2011 campaign.

He was backed on the depth chart by junior Jared Ebert, but Ebert was done in by a knee injury. Thus, expect more of elite, 6'8 freshman Arik Armstead, who has 14 tackles and a half-sack.
