No DUI for Oregon DT: Free to play?

Scott Olmos-US PRESSWIRERemington, a senior, was suspended indefinitely the day of the arrest by head coach Chip Kelly. Whether or not Remington’s suspension will be lifted due to him not being formerly charged is yet to be seen. Kelly did say in a statement released hours after the arrest that the suspension was “pending clarification,” which could mean that now that Remington is not being charged, the suspension will be lifted.
Remington was stopped on Oct. 12 near the University of Oregon campus and took a breath test that measured to 0.06 percent in blood-alcohol content. In Oregon, intoxication is determined by a BAC level of 0.08 or greater.

Moran elaborated that Remington was not jailed but this seems to be the reason for the suspension that was announced earlier in the day.
No. 2 Oregon is in the midst of a bye week currently but will be taking on the Arizona State Sun Devils in a key Pac-12 road game next Thursday without the services of Remington.
