Sean Mannion to start for Oregon State vs. Washington

Quarterback Sean Mannion will start versus Washington this Saturday.

Oregon State quarterback Sean Mannion will start versus Washington this Saturday after missing the last two weeks due to a knee injury, according to Building the Dam.

Oregon State went 2-0 in Mannion's absence, defeating Brigham Young and Utah in consecutive weeks, to move up to No. 7 in the BCS and AP polls. In his absence, the Beavers turned to junior Cody Vaz, who completed 36 of 58 passes for 506 yards and three touchdowns.

Sophomore Mannion is completing 63.3 percent of his passes and has thrown seven touchdowns to just four interceptions in four games this season. He will return to an Oregon State passing attack that is averaging 310.7 yards per game, which ranks 14th nationally.

At 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference, Oregon State is tied with Oregon for first place in the Pac-12 North division standings. The Beavers will host the Ducks at home on November 24.
