Alabama vs. LSU 2012: Game previews, TV schedule, odds and more

The undefeated Crimson Tide will come to Baton Rouge on Saturday night in the game of the week against LSU. Head here for national college football coverage all day Saturday and beyond. Follow @SBNationCFB

In one of the most highly anticipated college football games of the season, Les Miles' LSU Tigers will square off against the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday evening with first place in the SEC West on the line.

The Tigers were held scoreless, 21-0, in the previous meeting between the two teams at the 2012 BCS National Championship game, and will once again have to deal with an Alabama front seven that may very well be the best unit in America. Even though the Tigers were afforded a full week to prepare due to their timely bye week, Miles’ offense continues to struggle to move the ball through the air on a weekly basis.

Undefeated through their first eight games, the Tide have their sights on helping to lock up an SEC title game berth with another victory. Seeking his second straight victory over LSU in the series, head coach Nick Saban’s stingy Alabama defense is holding opponents to a FBS-best 8.1 points per game.

Game time, TV channel: 8 p.m. ET, CBS

Online streaming video: CBS Sports

Spread: Alabama -9.5
