Ole Miss and Mississippi State meet for the 110th time Thursday night and will once more battle for the rights to the Golden Egg trophy. This edition of the Egg Bowl doesn’t have a ton of stakes to it in a big picture sense, but as with any rivalry game, it holds plenty of importance for the fans of the schools involved.

Here’s all the information you’ll need to catch the Egg Bowl rivalry game between the Rebels and Bulldogs.
Ole Miss is coming off a failed upset bid against Missouri last weekend, which snapped a four-game Rebels winning streak. Mississippi State, on the other hand, ended a three-game losing streak by beating Arkansas in its last game.
The numbers
Rankings and records: The Rebels come in at 7-4 (3-4) and fifth in the SEC West. The Bulldogs, who are 5-6 overall, are right behind them in sixth with a 2-5 league record. Neither team is ranked. Ole Miss leads the all-time series, 62-41-6.
Vegas: Ole Miss opened as a three-point favorite. The over/under opened at 52.
Weather: A high in the mid-40s is expected in Starkville.

Tyler Russell -- Dak Prescott won't be able to play, leaving MSU's quarterback duties to Russell, who is also banged up. He doesn't provide the Mississippi State offense with the same sort of versatility that Prescott does, but he has been the more efficient passer.
Bo Wallace -- Wallace didn't play his best against Missouri, but he's had a fine season, throwing for 2,908 yards, 17 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 64.4 percent of his throws.
Donte Moncrief -- Moncrief has 801 receiving yards in 2013, which leads Ole Miss and ranks fifth in the conference. He's had more than 100 yards receiving in a game on four occasions this year.
Two things at stake
Mississippi State managed to keep its bowl hopes alive by picking up a win it had to have against Arkansas, and the Bulldogs will get bowl eligible by beating the Rebels. Pressure on Dan Mullen started to mount in 2013, and while a win might secure him at least one more year, a loss could cast his immediate future in doubt.
The Rebels don’t have any such bowl eligibility concerns -- they’ve already cleared that bar. Ole Miss can exceed its 2012 win total by beating MSU and give Hugh Freeze two victories over the Bulldogs in as many seasons.
