On Monday, 13 schools held their annual pro days, with NFL scouts and various talent evaluators on hand to see who can help their teams come September. Some of the bigger prospects in action on Monday included tight end Vance McDonald and cornerback D.J. Hayden.
NFL pro day results: Vance McDonald, D.J. Hayden in action on Monday
There were plenty of smaller-name schools hosting their pro days on Monday.
We’ve got some pro day results below, though not from each school who took part today. Some of the bigger names were definitely represented, though, so read on for results.
Houston
Cornerback D.J. Hayden has average size at 190 pounds, but he shows enough potential that he's projected to go in the sixth round of the draft. He could be a sleeper, if he checks out medically. Fortunately for Hayden, he impressed at his pro day, and according to Joseph Duarte from the Houston Chronicle, the consensus 40-yard dash time for Hayden is 4.33 seconds, which is excellent.
Outside linebacker Phillip Steward managed to put up 26 reps on the bench press, which was tied for most at the pro day with Dominic Miller. Steward also ran a 4.62 40-yard dash and had a 34.5-inch vertical leap.

Rice
Tight end Vance McDonald is one of the best prospects at his position. The 270-pound bruiser can block and catch effectively and has average speed after running a 4.69 40-yard dash. He's thought to be a second day pick. He did not partake in a new 40-yard dash or a bench press at the pro day, however, and only took part in catching drills.
Wide receiver Sam McGuffie isn't expected to be drafted, but he might have helped himself at Rice's pro day, as he was able to run a 4.36 40-yard dash and put up 26 reps on the bench press, according to the official Twitter account.

Wake Forest
Fullback Tommy Bohanon ran a 4.88 40-yard dash at the combine. Bohanon is expected to go off the board on the third day thanks to his impressive blocking ability. According to Tony Pauline on Twitter, he actually improved on that at Wake Forest's pro day, despite being outside and in the rain. Bohanon ran in the low-to-mid 4.7s for his 40-yard dash.
Indiana
The pro day for Indiana featured some players who weren’t invited to the NFL Scouting Combine last month, but as noted by Dustin Dopirak of The Hoosier Scoop, at least one player probably should have. That player is defensive tackle Adam Replogle, who was impressive on the day.
Replogle ran a 40-yard dash under five seconds, had a vertical leap of 31 inches, reportedly performed well in agility drills and actually matched the best mark for any player at the combine in the bench press. Replogle put up 225 pounds 38 times.
On top of Replogle, Larry Black Jr. and Will Matte worked out at Indiana's pro day. Matte benched 31 times, and Black had 22 of his own. Both players reportedly performed well in agility drills and were overall pleased with their performance.
Villanova
At Villanova’s pro day, one player in particular stood out: defensive back Jareed Gaines. He didn’t run the 40-yard dash due to a hamstring issue, but Gaines managed to put up 17 on the bench press, which is significant for a defensive back, and he also managed to hit a 34-inch vertical leap. On top of that, Gaines said that a Kansas City Chiefs scout asked for his information, which means he’s on the radar and could find himself drafted in April.
Other schools that had a pro day include Air Force, Albany State (Ga.), Howard, Idaho State, Memphis, Montana State, Valdosta State and Virginia Union.
