3 things to know about Chris Davis and Auburn’s Kick Six miracle
Davis was responsible for one of the most famous plays in Tiger history.

Yes, the incredible play that won the Iron Bowl for Auburn. Alabama attempted a long field goal with the game tied at the end of regulation, and Chris Davis did the unthinkable. Let’s review:
Auburn was previously as good as dead in the game, and Davis’s improbable return capped an incredible comeback that sent the two-time defending national champions to the Sugar Bowl (where they were handled by Oklahoma). When previewing the game, we said Auburn would need magic to win, and Davis provided just that.

2. It was kind of a big deal in Auburn.
Winning the Iron Bowl is always going to be a big deal, but taking down the top-rated Tide, winners of the last two national championships? Even bigger. After the game, human ashes were found on the field. So Davis wasn’t the only person who forever wanted to be linked with the 2013 Iron Bowl.
Oh, and this neat poster was made commemorating the run.
3. He’s not just a returner.
In fact, Davis is a starting senior cornerback on the team and will be key in stopping Jameis Winston and Florida State's passing attack. Davis did score another punt return touchdown this season, against Tennessee, and led the conference in punt return average, but also had 69 tackles and 13 pass deflections this season -- both tops on the team.
Davis will have a tough matchup ahead of him Monday against a Florida State team with three different 900-yard receivers, but he’s shone brightest on the big stage.
