The 2025 fantasy football draft season is in full swing. At this point we have a good handle on the rankings, but there are always tweaks and reassessments that continue all the way up until you make that last pick. Wide receivers may be the toughest position to rank, as there are usually 2-3 receivers from each team that will get enough snaps to have a shot at fantasy relevancy. Outside of the WR1 for each team, much depends on how pass happy that team will be and what pace will their offense run. So, as we research and contemplate wide receivers, let’s take a look at some recent risers and fallers in the receiver ranks.

Risers

Terry McLaurin, Commanders

There wasn’t much doubt that the Commanders would get McLaurin a new contract before Week 1, but a hold-in does cast a little doubt in the back of your mind. Add in the lack of practice and I wasn’t fully in on McLaurin as a smash pick. But, now that all systems are go and he has a couple weeks to ramp up, I’m on back on board. I‘ve moved him up to WR12 overall, just ahead of Tee Higgins and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Marvin Mims, Broncos

Mims continues to rise as he has steadily seen snaps with the starters in preseason. The questions about him revolved mainly around playing time, so now that it looks like he’ll be a full time player, his ranking rises.

Josh Palmer, Bills

Palmer isn’t a special player, but he is consistent enough to rack up receptions from Josh Allen this season, The Bills WR1 last season was Khalil Shakir who is currently dealing with a high ankle sprain. Keon Coleman has the most upside, but Palmer could be extremely useful in PPR leagues as a likely starter in a strong offense at a deep discount.

Fallers

Jauan Jennings, 49ers

Jennings has yet to get a new contract or be cleared of his calf issue. The hope is the contract is more of an issue than the calf and that this situation will be resolved soon, but we are rapidly closing in on Week 1.

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins

Hill’s oblique injury, age, and some odd behavior, have me worried about him going all Antonio Brown on us. He’s still worth drafting if he falls, but he is ranked as WR16 for me, which means you likely won’t have a chance to draft him if you follow my rankings.
