Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Denver Broncos visiting the Indianapolis Colts at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
Daniel Jones start or sit: Week 2 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Daniel Jones ahead of the Colts’ Week 2 matchup against the Broncos.

The Colts produced the most lopsided result of Week 1, wrecking the Dolphins in a 33-8 blowout victory to open the new season. Veteran quarterback Daniel Jones lit it up in his debut with the organization and at least temporarily halted some of the critiques of him being named the starter in training camp.
Below, we’ll go over Jones’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts QB Daniel Jones
Jones lit up the Dolphins in Week 1, going 22-29 for 276 passing yards and one touchdown through the air, adding 26 yards and an additional two touchdowns on the ground. “Danny Dimes” looked like the version of himself that finished the 2022 season as a top-10 fantasy QB and displayed why he beat out Anthony Richardson in their preseason QB battle. He also proved why he can be a quality waiver wire add for fantasy managers who are already running into depth problems at QB
Start or sit in Week 2?
Sit. Jones’ Week 1 performance was impressive, but he may get knocked back down to reality when facing what is arguably the best defense in the NFL in Week 2. The Broncos’ defense recorded six sacks and two fumbles against the Titans last week while holding them to just 183 yards of total offense. While you may have added Jones to your roster this week, this wouldn’t be a week where I’d give him the nod as your starter.
