Hunter Renfrow start or sit: Week 4 fantasy football advice

Hunter Renfrow in the year of 2025, in this economy? Well, yes, to a point. Renfrow has now played three games for the Panthers this season. One was a seven reception, two touchdown fantasy feast and the other two were not. But, there is some good news when you look at his opportunities so far.

Renfrow shas 19 targets, which ranks him second on the team, while his 11 receptions is tied for second. His Week 3 total of just four targets was low, but also ranked second on the team due to the defense scoring a touchdown and the Falcons not putting up a fight in a 30-0 drubbing.

The Patriots are 5.5-point favorites at home, which should force Bryce Young to drop back more than the 24 times he did in Week 3.

Below, we’ll go over Hunter Renfrow’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.

Renfrow feels like a sit from the get go, and I will likely stick with that first impression, but there is interesting PPR upside for him this week. Tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders is injured and won’t play this week, while Jalen Coker and Adam Thielen, who both were supposed to be the team’s slot receiver, are either gone or injured. Christian Gonzalez will likely spend extra time, as well as the rest of the secondary, trying to slow down WR1 Tetairoa McMillan, which should leave room for Renfrow to absorb plenty of short targets.

Sit. This game should be slow paced, as the Patriots will look to run their way to a win against the Panthers weak run defense. Christian Gonzalez’s return from injury helps the secondary as a whole. And Renfrow doesn’t have any ability after the catch. What we’re hoping for from him is a bunch of short slot receptions with a chance at another short touchdown. I can see playing him in full PPR leagues if you’re hurting, but I’d rather not.
