Carson Wentz start or sit: Week 4 fantasy football advice

With JJ McCarthy out for a few games with an ankle injury, veteran Carson Wentz has taken over as the starting quarterback. In Week 3 Wentz completed 14-of-20 passes for 173 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Joe Burrow-less Bengals. It was a game in which Wentz didn’t need to do much other than not turn the ball over, which is a tall task for the red head. He passed his assignment with flying colors though. The question is, how will he do when he doesn’t have two defensive touchdowns giving him a huge cushion where he only threw 20 passes and still won 48-10.

Below, we’ll go over Carson Wentz’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.

The Steelers defense has been bad this season, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Justin Fields, Sam Darnold, and Drake Maye all have played well against Pittsburgh, so it’s not out of the question that Wentz could continue that trend.

The Steelers did create five turnovers against the Patriots last week. They have a good chance of pushing Wentz into turnovers this week in Dublin if the game is closer than their Week 3 drubbing of the Bengals. But, it also will give Wentz more shots at putting up fantasy numbers.

Sit. At this point I can’t get on the Wentz bus as a Top 12 fantasy quarterback. This is a good matchup, but I don’t believe Wentz’s upside is there anymore. There should be better options.
