The Arizona Cardinals host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football this week as 1.5-point underdogs. Coming into this game the Cardinals No. 1 receiver continues to be tight end Trey McBride, while can’t miss superstar Marvin Harrison is firmly in the No. 2 slot. And that isn’t great. Yes, McBride is an extreme talent, but the draft capital and expectations were for MHJ to be a Top 5 NFL receiver and we aren’t seeing that trajectory at this point.

Of course, not achieving greatness doesn’t mean you can’t start the man on your fantasy football team. So far it’s been a mixed bag for Harrison Jr. Week 1 went great for the second-year receiver, as he caught 5-of-6 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Saints. But in the last two games against the Panthers and 49ers, he has caught 5-of-11 targets for 71 yards and no scores. He has yet to see over six targets in a game this season.

Below, we’ll go over Marvin Harrison Jr.‘s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals, WR, Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Seattle Seahawks defense has been strong so far this season, as they rank second best in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. So far, Ricky Pearsall is the only receiver to really get the better of the Seahawks with a 100+ yard game, while DK Metcalf is the only receiver to find the end zone, but he only had 20 yards.

Harrison has three red zone targets, tying McBride for the team lead. He will continue to be a red zone target at the very least. He also has two drops, one of which would have likely gone for a chunk play touchdown. That one drop has really changed how we look at his season so far. He will be up and down with his low target numbers, but his targets will be good ones for the most part. He’s more of a standard receiver than a full PPR one, but his touchdown upside remains good, while the team will always want to get him going, which is good for his opportunities overall.

Start or sit in Week 4 PPR leagues?

Start. He’s more of a WR3 for me at this point, especially in a tough matchup, but he’s still got enough upside to be a start each week.

Start or sit in Week 4 standard leagues?

Start.
