Jerry Jeudy start or sit: Week 5 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jerry Jeudy ahead of Week 5

The Browns offense hasn’t had much success this season, as they rank 31st with 14 points per game. That can be seen by how well their WR1, Jerry Jeudy, has performed this year. He leads the team with 30 targets, but has just 13 receptions for 182 yards and no touchdowns. Will Gabriel help get the passing offense going this week against the Vikings?
Below, we’ll go over Jerry Jeudy’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 5.
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns, WR, Jerry Jeudy
Jeudy put up good numbers last season, but hasn’t been able to get going through four games this year. He now takes on a strong Vikings pass defense with a rookie quarterback making his first start. To help Gabriel out, I’d expect the team to focus on the ground game while getting after Carson Wentz with their strong pass rush led by Myles Garrett. The Vikings have been beaten by the run this season, while their offensive line was ravaged by the Steelers last week. If they can get that game plan working, it would give Gabriel more time and flexibility to throw only in good situations. The target numbers would be down for Jeudy, but his efficiency could increase.
But, this situation is ripe with peril. The Vikings have a strong defensive coordinator in Brian Flores, and he’ll make life hell for the rookie. Jeudy remains the lead receiver, which is always want you want in a fantasy player, but his ceiling this week is low.
Start or sit in Week 5 PPR leagues?
Start. I’m not high on him, but target volume should be good enough to keep him as a WR3/4 in PPR leagues.
Start or sit in Week 5 standard leagues?
Sit. Jeudy will need a touchdown to be worthwhile in standard this week and I’m not high on that happening.
