Why do we even need a start/sit article for AJ Brown? He’s a start every week stud! Well, unfortunately he hasn’t been delivering with full PPR weekly totals of 1.8, 7.7, 22.9, and 2.7 points. So, in three out of four games he would have been better off on your fantasy bench.
A.J. Brown start or sit: Week 5 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of A.J. Brown ahead of Week 5

Of course, he still is AJ Brown and he’s still seeing decent target numbers and when really forced into comeback mode, Brown was his old self. The question is, will the Eagles be forced to throw the ball against the Broncos? Or, at the very least, will they try to feed Brown due to him obviously not being happy with his early results?
Week 1 Brown only saw one target, but since then he’s had 8, 10, and 9. He unfortunately hasn’t done much with those other than against the Rams in Week 3. If the targets weren’t there, I’d be much more worried about his ability to help us in fantasy, but for now, he remains tough to sit in most leagues
Below, we’ll go over A.J. Brown’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 5.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles, WR, A.J. Brown
The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league, as they rank fourth-best in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Patrick Surtain remains one of the best corners in the league and so far they rank Top 10 in DVOA against No. 1 and No. 2 receivers. They’ve allowed just one touchdown to a wide receiver, and that was slot man Keenan Allen. No receiver has topped 89 yards and only one has gone over 68.
It’s not a great situation to be sure, but I do expect the Broncos to be able to keep this game close. That should push Jalen Hurts to do more than hand the ball off. And I’m all in on greasing the squeaky wheel when it’s a player the caliber of Brown. His upside isn’t great in this game, but he should get his opportunities.
