Welcome to Week 6 of the NFL season. Week 5 brought us a newcomer to the No. 1 fantasy QB spot, as C.J. Stroud put up easily his best game of the season against the decimated Ravens. He completed 23 of 27 passes (85.2%) for 244 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions to take the Week 5 crown. His four touchdown passes are the most since his rookie year when he threw five in Week 8. Last season he only topped two touchdown passes in a game once. We’ll see if he ca get on a roll after he comes off the bye week and faces a tough Seahawks’ pass defense on Monday Night Football in Week 7.

QB injuries/news
Lamar Jackson, Ravens
Jackson was forced from Week 5’s game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury and did not return. He was unable to go against the Texans in Week 6 and it was ugly for the Ravens. There is a good chance they hold him out through their Week 7 bye, but we don’t have a clear view of his Week 6 status just yet.
Brock Purdy, 49ers
Purdy’s toe injury flared up during their Week 4 loss to the Jaguars. He was then unable to play Thursday against the Rams, which the 49ers won in an upset with Mac Jones at the helm. The 49ers take on the Falcons on Sunday Night Football in Santa Clara and Jones has played well enough to not push Purdy’s recovery if needed.

Streaming QBs
Bryce Young, Panthers vs. Cowboys
At this point you can stream just about any quarterback against the Cowboys and yes, Bryce Young is any quarterback. Last week Justin Fields put up good numbers and did it mostly in garbage time and not with his rushing. We can expect the Cowboys to put up numbers in this matchup, even with their offensive line woes. That will push Young to throw against the worst pass defense in the league most of the game.
Matthew Stafford, Rams vs. Ravens
The Ravens defense is pieced together with scotch tape, which helped C.J. Stroud put up four touchdown passes on just 23 completions and 27 dropbacks. That kind of efficiency behind a bad Texans offensive line is pretty amazing. Stafford doesn’t run, so he’ll need their touchdowns to come through the air, but that hasn’t been a problem this season, with three TDs in each of his last two games while going over 375 yards in both games as well.
