The Los Angeles Chargers have been hit hard by injuries so far this season, with their bookend tackles both injured and now their top running back Omarion Hampton headed to the PUP list. With the offensive line hurting and backups at running back, it’s hard to see the running game truly taking off while Hampton is out, but in fantasy, finding backup running backs with value is the name of the game.
Hassan Haskins start or sit: Week 6 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Hassan Haskins ahead of Week 6

Below, we’ll go over Hassan Haskins’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers, RB, Hassan Haskins
The Chargers backfield is a mess, but we do know that Haskins was next in line for early down work when Hampton went down. The more athletic back, Kimani Vidal, has been behind Haskins throughout. But, Jim Harbaugh could be inclined to switch things up with the situation changed as he’s deciding on a starting back and how to split up work. The team also signed receiving specialist Nyheim Hines.
My best guess is that Haskins will be the early down back, while Vidal and Hines spell him and work in the pass game. There is a chance they’ll “ride the hot hand,” but Harbaugh may just trust Haskins more, even if he’s not helping them move the ball all that much.
This is a situation I might shy away from, but the Chargers play the Dolphins this week. The Dolphins defense just gave up 200+ yards to the Panthers backup running back Rico Dowdle and have been bad all season. Haskins should have goal line opportunities at the very least this week to go along with a great matchup.
