Welcome to Week 7 of the NFL season! Before we move forward, let’s take a quick look at where the fantasy running back landscape is through six weeks. So far, we have the big three — Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, and Christian McCaffrey leading the way by a significant margin. Robinson and Taylor are a bit more stable across scoring settings, while McCaffrey gets a huge boost in full PPR with an amazing 46 receptions. He is on pace to smash his current record of 116 receptions with his 130 pace for this year. Hopefully for the 49ers he won’t need to make that many receptions if they can get some of their pass catchers healthy.
Top 70 fantasy football PPR RBs for Week 7
Chet Gresham takes us through the top 70 PPR running backs for Week 7

The two biggest surprises in the Top 10 PPR backs are Javonte Williams and Cam Skattebo. Many, including myself, felt like Williams’ injuries had slowed him down too much, but an extra year from his latest knee injury has done the trick it seems.
Skattebo (pronounced Skatteboo for some reason) currently has more PPR fantasy points than Ashton Jeanty! I for one would have lost that bet. But he’s killing it as the full time back in New York. We’ll see if he can keep it up, but it sure looks like he’ll have all the opportunities he can handle moving forward.
Week 7 byes
Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills
Running backs on bye
Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, James Cook, Ray Davis
RB injuries
Chuba Hubbard, Panthers
Hubbard missed the last two games with a calf injury, which helped Rico Dowdle get the lead role and put up 473 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. It will be nearly impossible for head coach Dave Canales to bring Hubbard back as the lead back. Sure, the Dolphins and Cowboys are the dregs of the league defensively, but Dowdle is playing out of his mind right now.
Bucky Irving, Buccaneers
Irving missed the last two games with a shoulder and foot injury. Rachaad White has taken over the lead role and has been useful in fantasy with the extra work. Irving has already been ruled out for Week 7, so keep getting White into those lineups.
Aaron Jones, Vikings
Jones can come off I.R. this week if he’s healthy enough, but we’re still waiting on that news. Jordan Mason has looked good in his absence, but as long as Jones is healthy, he will have a role in the offense. It’s possible Mason will get the early down work and Jones passing-down work.
Emari Demercado, Cardinals
Demercado hurt his ankle and was unable to return last week. Itt looks like Bam Knight will get the lead back role with Michael Carter getting more usage in the receiving role if Demercado misses time, but if he doesn’t, Carter could see his usage fall.
