The 2-5 New York Giants will look to sweep the Super Bowl champs this week when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the 5-2 Eagles as 7-point underdogs. These two teams met just two weeks ago when rookies Jaxon Dart and Cam Skattebo led them to a 34-17 victory at home. This week they’ll likely have a tougher time on the road against a team looking for a little revenge.
Theo Johnson start or sit: Week 8 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Theo Johnson ahead of Week 8

Below, we’ll go over Theo Johnson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 8.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants, TE, Theo Johnson
The last time these teams met Skattebo rushed for three touchdowns, while Dart rushed for another. That kept all the receivers out of the touchdown box. They also had a lead, which allowed them to keep giving Skattebo the ball on the ground. It’s very plausible that the Eagles get a lead in this one and Dart will be forced to throw the ball more. And, he’s had a nice connection with Theo Johnson since getting the starting nod.
Over his last four games, Johnson has caught 14-of-23 targets for 143 yards and four touchdowns. Of course, the touchdowns are propping up his fantasy numbers, but, those are backed up, as he ranks third in red zone targets for tight ends this season. With his low yardage numbers, you pretty much need a touchdown from him to be worth a start. Last week against the Broncos he went for a season high 66 yards, but his 41 yard touchdown wasn’t for him, but instead he caught a flukey deflection for the touchdown. You take away that long touchdown and his numbers look pretty weak even when taking into account his good red zone usage.
So far, the Eagles have given up the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends, allowing just one touchdown to the position and 220 total yards. They also rank first in defensive DVOA against tight ends. Adding those points in make a touchdown seem less likely this week for Johnson and I’m going to lean sit.
