The 5-2 Detroit Lions are off their bye and ready to take on the 3-4 Vikings as 8.5-point home favorites. The Vikings will get JJ McCarthy back, though he is still a wildcard with just two starts under his belt. The Lions are healthy and hitting on mostly all cylinders, except for maybe their WR2, Jameson Williams. Williams is extremely talented, but also extremely inconsistent, and just before their bye, he had two targets and no receptions against the Buccaneers. They’ll likely need his help in the second half of the season and maybe they look to get him going out of the bye gate.
Jameson Williams start or sit: Week 9 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jameson Williams ahead of Week 9

Below, we’ll go over Jameson Williams’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 9.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions, WR, Jameson Williams
We know that Williams can put up a huge game at any time, but when they aren’t coming frequently enough it can be tough to click on him for a start. In PPR leagues he’s had finishes of WR57, WR12, WR59, WR64, WR90, WR12, and WR125 through seven games.
When asked about who he might like to get going coming out of the break, head coach Dan Campbell didn’t name names, but most believed he was talking about Williams. With his speed and ability, getting Williams going probably wouldn’t take all that much effort, but so far it has been tough.
The Vikings had been putting up good stats against receivers, but that collapsed recently, as they’ve given up five touchdowns to the position over the last two games. In a game the Lions should win, there is a real chance they try to get Williams, especially coming ofd zero receptions and then the bye. Add in the fact that there are four teams on bye, and I think it’s fairly easy to give him another shot in your lineup this week.
