Wan’Dale Robinson start or sit: Week 16 fantasy football advice

The 2-12 New York Giants host the 6-8 Minnesota Vikings as 2.5-point home underdogs on Sunday. Neither team is in the playoff hunt at this point, so they’ll be evaluating their young quarterbacks these final three games. The Giants have put their shirt-term future into Jaxson Dart’s hands for now, but the king of concussion checks is going to need to learn to slide and quickly. Or, better yet, get the ball out fast to your receivers.

His WR1 has been Wan’Dale Robinson, who leads the Giants in every meaningful receiving category by a wide margin. It’s been a great season for Robinson, but there is no doubt he’s been boom or bust in a poor overall offense. Is he worth starting against the Vikings in your fantasy playoffs?

Robinson is good on targets, as he’s seen 10, 8, 14, 9, and 11 over his last five games. He’s always a good start in full PPR leagues, but with just four touchdowns all season and a tough matchup with the Vikings, his value in standard isn’t great. And the Vikings haven’t allowed a touchdown to a wide receiver since Jameson Williams in Week 9.

Of course, Robinson’s usage is great and that gives him a steady floor, even in standard leagues. In the fantasy playoffs you want that floor unless you are just completely overmatched.
