Last week against the Broncos, Ravens RB Ray Rice scored a pair of touchdowns each from one year out. Generally that wouldn't be a big deal but it is in fantasy football because that's a role previously held for RB Willie McGahee.
Fantasy Football Week 6: Ray Rice To See More Goal Line Carries?
McGahee was having trouble finishing it off last week near the goal line so with Rice able to complete the task will he see more goal line carries in the future?
"I think all three of those guys [Rice, McGahee and fullback Le'Ron McClain] can carry the ball on the goal line," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said. "I don’t think we ever felt Ray couldn’t do it. It’s just that Willis had such a hot hand and Willis was so good at it."
It seems that the Ravens would want to go with what works and Rice clearly demonstrated he was capable last week. Logic would suggest the Ravens will go with what works but, as Harbaugh later said, McGahee wouldn’t like seeing his red zone carries distributed elsewhere.
