Earlier in the week, we gave you the Top 10 fantasy football player rankings for Week 8 at each of the six main positions. Now that we’ve moved closer to the weekend, the number of experts giving opinions has doubled, so we wanted to revisit the rankings and see what has changed.
Fantasy Football Week 8 Revised Player Rankings
QB - Everybody loves Peyton Manning against a very bad Texans secondary, he still tops the list. At the number ten spot for QBs, Buffalo's Ryan Fitzpatrick makes an appearance off of some strong work the past few weeks, dropping Cincy's Carson Palmer out of the top 10, down to twelve.
RB - Pittsburgh’s Rashard Mendenahll is moving up the ranks, jumping from the number six spot to number four over the last few days. Ryan Torain is also making a strong push, leaping into the top 10 from number eleven earlier this week to number seven. Chris Johnson is also on the move, from number ten to number six.
WR - The experts like Brandon Marshall against an injured Cincy secondary, propelling him to the number two spot on the list. Pittsburgh's Mike Wallace was getting some early love when he was ranked at the number seven spot, but now as more opinion has come in, he's plummeted down to number seventeen.
TE - Seems like a porous Jacksonville secondary and the need for Jon Kitna to get passes out quickly have elevated Jason Witten to the top of the tight end charts for this week. Antonio Gates drops to third, maybe a by-product of injury concerns. Kansas City's Tony Moeaki jumps into the rankings at number ten.
D/ST - The Washington Redskins defense and special teams are the big movers over the past few days. Un-ranked earlier in the week, they now show up at a healthy number six spot.
