David Garrard And Terrance Newman To Play In Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars Match Up

David Garrad and Terrance Newman are both expected to play for their respective teams in today's match up between the floundering Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Garrard is recovering from a concussion that he suffered in week 6 versus the Tennessee Titans (a 30-3 loss for the Jaguars). On the season Garrard is throwing 84-128 for 838 yards and 9 touchdowns against 7 interceptions. Trent Edwards and Todd Bouman, Garrard's backups, were both injured over the past two weeks, leaving the Jaguars in a pickle if Garrard's concussion symptoms had continued. Bouman was already signed out of no where and ended up not only playing but starting a game for the Jaguars.

Newman, according to Rotoworld.com, is "expected to play in Week 8 against Jacksonville. The Cowboys are extremely thin at the cornerback position, so having Newman on the field is a big relief." The Cowboy's secondary is hurt across the board with Michael Jenkins, Newman and Alan Ball all nicked up.
