Steven Jackson's workhorse role for the St. Louis Rams has given him many injuries problems over his years in the NFL. This season has been none the different for the six year veteran, as he has suffered his typical share of injuries. Currently Jackson is hampered by an injured hand which limits his ability to be a weapon out of the Rams' backfield. Jackson has recorded 16 receptions for 165 yards this season, which leaves him currently with his highest yards-per-catch average of his career (10.3).

The Rams are unexpectedly competing for the NFC West division title this season, after going 1-15 last season. With Jackson contributing like normal and rookie quarterback Sam Bradford managing to shoulder a large load given to him by the Rams coaching staff (Bradford is averaging 37 attempts per game), the Rams have already won two more games than last season and are only 1.5 games out of first place in the NFC West.
