Fantasy Football News Roundup, Week 10: Matthew Stafford Could Be Done

Checking in on the fantasy news of the day for Week 10.

--- It looks like the return of Lions QB Matthew Stafford to the field of play, and to fantasy rosters, is going to be short-lived. Sources are reporting they think Stafford is done for the year although there is no official confirmation yet. Stafford had an MRI on his shoulder to determine the degree of separation and will be going for a second opinion, which is usually never good news. The Lions did claim another quarterback, Zac Robinson, but Pride of Detroit isn't sure this means Stafford is done.

What this shows to me is that Matthew Stafford will not be placed on injured reserve, at least not yet. As far as I know, Wallace was released to make room for Robinson. Unless the Lions made another move that hasn't been reported yet, Robinson has joined the team as the fourth quarterback on the roster, so Stafford hasn't been shelved just yet.

--- The Buffalo offense has been a hot target for waiver wire pickups over the last month. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Steve Johnson and Lee Evans were a few of the names fantasy owners jumped on. Just recently, wide receiver Roscoe Parrish was putting together a nice run and entering the minds of fantasy owners everywhere. That's over.

The Buffalo Bills placed starting middle linebacker Andra Davis and wide receiver Roscoe Parrish on the injured reserve list, the move ends both of their seasons. Davis is out with a shoulder injury that has been bothering him all season. While Parrish is out with a broken wrist he suffered in Sunday's loss against the Chicago Bears.

--- Not that anybody was really playing him, or likely had him on a roster, but Carolina QB Matt More is done for the year.

--- After the ugly hit Austin Collie took on Sunday, he's been ruled out of this week's game. You might want to look at his replacement, Blair White.

--- The Redskins running back situation is shaking out like this. Clinton Portis tried to practice on Monday but ended up with swelling in his injured groin. Ryan Torain was running well in practice on Monday.

--- Then there's the Cowboys, who fired head coach Wade Phillips and installed offensive coordinator Jason Garrett as the new head coach. Nobody is really sure how much the offense will change now, Garrett was already calling the plays and running the offense. So far, with Jon Kitna at the helm, he's been targeting Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Catch up on all the Wade Phillips/Jason Garrett news.
