Denver Broncos QB Kyle Orton has thrown 14 incompletions and two interceptions in 26 attempts today. This is even worse than last week’s effort, a 32.8 completion percentage outing that was his worst game of the season by far. When will the Broncos turn the rest of their season over to rookie QB Tim Tebow?
Kyle Orton Struggling; Time To Start Tim Tebow?
What does a soon-to-be 3-10 team have to lose by finding out what it’s got in its first-round quarterback? Wish Josh McDaniels out as head coach, Denver needs to figure out whether Tebow is a long-term option or not. Getting blown out by the Cardinals is usually the first sign it’s time to try something different.
And if they have no interest in keeping Tebow, they should find a way to let him produce the best film he can for other teams. Run the Gatorcat (?), let him take some basic dropbacks, whatever. Nobody’s going to take this guy off the Broncos’ hands if they don’t let him show off the specific things he does well.
