Thursday Night Football, Week 14: Colts And Titans Try To Get Back To Winning Ways

Peyton Manning is going through one of his worst stretches ever. Over his last three games he's thrown 11 interceptions with four of them being returned for touchdowns. He's still putting up decent yardage and touchdowns, so it's not quite as bad for fantasy purposes as it is for the real thing. Still, he's only the number six ranked quarterback this week, down from his usual lofty perch near the top of the rankings.

Part of the problem for Peyton is the numerous injuries to the Colts skill players. No Dallas Clark, no Austin Collie, not Joesph Addai, so Peyton is having to make do with what he's given. He still has Reggie Wayne who is this week's number two ranked wide receiver, and the experts still believe in tight end newcomer Jacob Tamme - the number two ranked tight end - but outside of that, Colts skill players are a risky play.

The Titans season is also falling apart. Vince Young is no longer 'the guy' for Tennessee in 2010, veteran Kerry Collins has taken over. Collins and the Titans struggled against a soft Jaguars defense last week, so there is no confidence in Collins and his receivers this week. They do get Kenny Britt back which might help to spark their offense.

Another big problem for Tennessee is the downward trajectory that superstar running back Chris Johnson is on. He’s ranked as the number six running back this week because the Colts defense can’t stop the run. But over the last two weeks Johnson has a combined 58 yards rushing with no touchdowns. If he’s going to get back on track, this would be the week.
