The top five projections for tight ends in Week 14.
Fantasy Football Projections Week 14: Tight Ends
Vernon Davis (vs SEA) - All the elements are there for Davis to have a big week. He's coming off a great game last week, he's playing a weak passing defense in Seattle, and he gets Alex Smith back at quarterback who targets him early and often.
Projection: 110 yds, 2 TD
Jason Witten (vs PHI) - With Dez Bryant out of the game because of injury, the Philadelphia defense will pay special attention to wide receiver Miles Austin. This should allow Witten room to get open over the middle. Witten leads all tight ends in receptions this season, look for Jon Kitna to use him this week.
Projection: 97 yds, 1 TD
Chris Cooley (vs. TB) - Cooley has been getting a lot of action in recent weeks, the only problem is that he isn't scoring touchdowns. This week, he finally finds paydirt again and puts together a nice game.
Projection: 90 yards, 1 TD
Antonio Gates (vs KC) - Gates hasn't looked himself since his foot injury, but he did put together a solid outing last week. He's questionable again this week, but we think he'll play and put together another good day.
Projection: 84 yds, 1 TD
Marcedes Lewis (vs. OAK) - Lewis isn't always a consistent points-producer this season, but when he does have a good game, he scores big. He probably won't have a two touchdown day like he's done several times this year, but should produce enough to make his owners happy.
Projection: 79 yds, 1 TD
