Chargers RB Ryan Mathews hasn't been the force he was expected to be in the fantasy football world. After a healthy 75 yards against the Chiefs in Week 1 but exited Sunday's game against Jacksonville with just five carries.
Fantasy Football, Week 3: Ryan Mathews Misses Practice, Focus Turns To Mike Tolbert
↵He likely won’t get to add to that total in Week 3 of the NFL season.
↵Mathews didn’t practice (again) on Thursday making it highly unlikely he’ll play for Sunday’s game. His injury’s been reported as a high ankle sprain which can take up to a month to come back from so playing Sunday was a little optimistic from the start.
↵
His replacement will be Mike Tolbert. So if you want to look like the person that totally knew Mike Tolbert was legit coming out of Coastal Carolina, snag him off of the waiver wire in your fantasy football league.
↵
Or you should go ahead and draft him if you need a replacement running back because you were dumb enough to draft Reggie Bush only to see him fracture his fibula. Yeah, I'm speaking from personal experience there.
