Victor Cruz Fantasy Recap: Circus Catch Highlights Third Straight Big Day

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz had a monster day on Sunday as he hauled in 161 receiving yards and a touchdown to mark his third straight strong fantasy performance. Cruz's day was highlighted by a circus catch, but with eight catches Cruz took control of this game for the Giants. He did lose a couple points on a fumble, but otherwise he was a force on Sunday.

This third straight strong fantasy performance should be enough to convince fantasy owners he is at least worthy of a flex position. Over the last three games, Cruz has caught three touchdowns and has put up 161, 98 and 110 yards. His numbers were particularly impressive on Sunday because he did not get the start opposite Hakeem Nicks. Mario Manningham was in the starting lineup, but that did not stop Cruz from shining.

As we move forward, Cruz goes from bye week fill-in to full on starter worthy. He is not a guy you move ahead of the big names in fantasy, but he is at least worthy of flex play, if not your number two receiver position. He will likely come back to earth in some form or fashion, but for now you might as well ride the wave. Cruz is streaking right now and you never bet against the streak.
