Antonio Gates Injury Update: Chargers TE Questionable For Sunday’s Game
Gates was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice and sat out Thursday before doing fully participating on Friday, which was the team's plan for Gates this week. Veteran Randy McMichael has caught 15 passes for 131 yards in Gates' absence, but all indications point to the the seven-time Pro Bowler being available to play this Sunday.
Gates caught eight passes for 74 yards in the season-opener against the Minnesota Vikings, but he was a non-factor in a Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots and has missed the last three games due to pain associated with the scar tissue in his right foot tearing during his comeback from plantar fasciitis.
