Sam Bradford Status Update: Rams QB Questionable For Sunday

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford tested his high left ankle sprain, but was unable to practice on Friday. Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo officially listed as Bradford as “questionable” on the team’s final injury report of the week.

”We’ll take it one day at a time, and we’ll see where we’re at on Sunday,” Spagnuolo said according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Bradford did not miss a single snap on his way to earning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2010. Former offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's called for quick passes and moved Bradford around in the backfield, making it hard for opposing pass rushes to reach the first overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft. As a result, Bradford was sacked just 34 times, the lowest total the team had allowed since 1999's "Greatest Show On Turf" team that won Super Bowl XXXIV.

Shurmur is now the Cleveland Browns head coach and was replaced by Josh McDaniels. Through five weeks in 2011, Bradford has already been sacked 21 times.

If Bradford is unable to play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, veteran A.J. Feeley would make his first start since December 2, 2007. Then with the Philadelphia Eagles, Feeley was intercepted four times in a 28-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Feeley completed 1-of-5 pass attempts for 21 yards in the season-opening loss to the Eagles, his first regular season game work since that December 2007 start.
