Jahvid Best Injury Update: Lions RB Out With Concussion

Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best will miss the Lions Week 7 match up with the Atlanta Falcons, still dealing with issues related to a concussion he suffered last week against the San Francisco 49ers. In the Lions offense, Best was averaging 65 yards a game and had a "break out" game against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, rushing for 163 yards on just 12 carries. He's an explosive home run threat, but he could also be out for a while.

There were reports that some doctors were suggesting that Best sit out the rest of the 2011 NFL season, but Best and his agent don't anticipate that happening for now. Without Best in the line up and the trade for Ronnie Brown falling through, Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams are expected to rotate in the backfield.
