After suffering a concussion in a game two weeks ago, San Diego Chargers running back Mike Tolbert has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the New York Jets. However, Ryan Mathews is also playing for the Chargers, hurting Tolbert's chances to carry the ball.
Mike Tolbert Status Update: Chargers RB Cleared To Play After Concussion
After receiving 12 touches in the first game of the season, Tolbert has averaged six carries over the last four games. He’s proven somewhat effective in catching the ball, grabbing 28 balls for 231 yards. The Jets, though, do have the No. 28 rush defense in the league, which could provide Tolbert and the Chargers with more opportunities run the ball.
Tolbert isn’t the greatest fantasy play this week, but he could prove useful in a flex position.
