Tim Hightower was active last week for the Washington Redskins, but coach Mike Shanahan kept him as an emergency third back as a result of his injured shoulder. That injury occurred against the St. Louis Rams, causing him to miss the next game. But after three straight days of full practices for him, Hightower is expected to play. He will compete with Ryan Torain and Roy Helu for carries.
Tim Hightower Status Update: Redskins RB Expected To Return From Injured Shoulder
Hightower's best game came against his old team, the Arizona Cardinals, in Week 2's matchup. He had 96 yards on 20 carries, but it's been tough to get enough carries with two other backs in his way. He had just 14 carries one week before he injured his shoulder.
Hightower doesn’t look like a good fantasy start this week or until he starts getting more carries.
