The Carolina Panthers had a scare with tight end Greg Olsen on Wednesday when he was held out of practice with turf toe. However, he returned to practice with full participation on Thursday and Friday. He should start against the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon.
Greg Olsen Status Update: Carolina Panthers TE Should Have No Issues With Turf Toe
Olsen has 25 catches for 282 yards and three touchdowns. He’s averaging just over four catches per game this season for 47 yards. While not the production of an elite tight end, he is certainly one of the better options available at tight end.
Cam Newton doesn’t have any other great targets at wide receiver beside Steve Smith, so Olsen could see plenty of looks. Olsen is on pace for a career year.
