Percy Harvin Status Update: Vikings WR Probable, But Worth Playing?

Here's the good news: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin is listed as probable and is expected to play on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Here's the bad news: His participation in practice this week was limited, so he's not any guarantee to play his normal volume of snaps or look like the best version of himself. Here's the ugly news: The Vikings are starting a rookie quarterback against the undefeated Green Bay Packers.

If Harvin is healthy, he might not be the greatest fantasy play, unless you're really thin at wide receiver. However, the Vikings use him occasionally on end-arounds and other gadget plays, something they might do even more frequently than usual with Christian Ponder under center. If you have faith in Harvin picking up yards on runs and WR screens, he'll probably get more chances on those kinds of plays.
